Strategic Priorities
MITEI identifies strategic priorities to catalyze focused research on key energy transition topics or technologies. Research on these priorities can progress rapidly owing to MIT’s deep expertise in engineering, technology innovation, economics, and energy policy. The focus on strategic priorities alongside MITEI’s core research and education efforts is another way that MITEI works with government and industry to advance zero- and low-carbon solutions that could expand access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy while also mitigating climate change.
