The MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) today is focused on advancing zero- and low-carbon energy solutions to combat climate change and expand energy access. MITEI was founded in 2006 to help meet the work’s energy challenges at the time, which included innovations for conventional energy sources, as well as new technologies that could transform global energy systems.
