MIT unveils a megawatt motor for electric aircraft

MIT aeroengineers, led by Professor Zoltán Spakovszky (Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics), are working on significantly shrinking the carbon footprint of aviation by creating a 1-megawatt electrical motor for commercial airliners.
