The MIT Clean Energy Prize (CEP) organizing team has announced more than $300,000 in prize money to be awarded in spring 2014 for the most innovative clean energy solutions. This seventh annual innovation and entrepreneurship competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students from any university across the United States. Past participants have gone on to raise a total of $209 million in funding.
CEP is sponsored by Massachusetts-based utility NSTAR Electric and the U.S. Department of Energy The competition was launched in 2006 to empower tomorrow’s clean energy leaders by advancing their relationships with key academic, community, industry, and government stakeholders to help them meet the world’s most pressing energy challenges.
Applicants will have two months to prepare their submissions before the February 13, 2014 deadline for this year’s competition. The panel of judges will include venture capitalists, CEOs, and academics.
