Steven Thomas, as MITEI’s Japan representative, leads recruitment of new member companies and support existing members’ interests in strategic research on deep decarbonization of energy systems and industrial applications. Steven brings 25 years of commercial expertise in Japan’s advanced IT and energy sectors, having previously led regional sales and operations for innovative energy technology companies including Enviva, Amplio Energy K.K., and Renewable Energy Corporation (REC Solar). Steven holds both an MS and BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an Executive MBA from Boston University.
