Please join us to hear from Alicia Barton, CEO of Vineyard Offshore, who will talk about how offshore wind is now delivering reliable energy, creating valuable careers, and revitalizing communities. With completed projects and many more under construction, this emerging American industry is becoming a permanent fixture in the energy landscape. Offshore wind offers an enormous opportunity to help states meet climate goals and address the growing electricity demand driven by extreme temperatures and, as a major infrastructure initiative, can catalyze local economic development. However, as the industry advances, we must consider how refining its development can enhance projects and deliver even more clean energy.

About the speaker
Alicia Barton is the CEO of Vineyard Offshore, a leading offshore wind developer with a portfolio of more than 6 gigawatts of offshore wind projects in North America.
With more than 15 years of experience in clean energy leadership, including serving as CEO of FirstLight, president and CEO of the New York Energy Research and Development Authority, and CEO of Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, Barton has been instrumental in laying the groundwork for the offshore wind industry in the United States. Barton holds a BS in natural resources from Ohio State University and a JD from Boston College Law School.
