MIT Soft House Nominated for Architizer A+ Award

Vote for it! Now through March 21

March 7, 2014

The SOFT HOUSE, a live/work housing project designed by MIT Professor Sheila Kennedy & Team for the International Building Exhibition Hamburg is a finalist in the Architizer Design Awards–selected from over 1,000 entries in the Multi-Family Residential category! The SOFT HOUSE began with a MITEI Seed Fund and is now competing for the top award and the 2014 Architizer Awards Jury wants to hear from you.

Tired of the Passiv-Haus? The SOFT HOUSE is a new “active house” where the solid wood structural shell is designed to be enduring and the domestic infrastructure of space making curtains, energy, and lighting, is designed as responsive smart furniture–mobile, interactive, and joined by the SOFT HOUSE network.
